Kabe Original Entrance Mat
Kabe Original, with its classic wavy rubber strips and aluminium frame, is the most effective entrance mat on the market. The Kabe Original is a combination of scraper grid and doormat for use indoors and out. The classic way rubber curves are easily bent by the pressure from your feet as you cross the entrance mat and spring back with force when the pressure is released. This means that grit, sand, dirt and water are wiped off the shoes, just by walking across the entrance mat. Simple and efficient – without any need to wipe your feet!
The entrance mat can be rolled up, handmade in Sweden for the last 75 years and has a 10-year guarantee. Moreover, the mat is 100% recyclable – our way of contributing to a more sustainable world. MAT SIZE
The Kabe Original is made to measure in any size. Max. size of a single piece 2000 x 5000 mm (A x B). To cover larger areas, the mat is divided into suitably sized sections. We manufacture mats in almost any shape. Provide us with a drawing or template. Under 400 mm for A-dimension, there is an additional set-up cost.
RECYCLING
Kabe Original is 100% recyclable.
FLAT BARS
Aluminium alloy, EN AW-6005-A-T6.

RUBBER STRIP
A composition that is especially resistant to extreme temperature variations, EPDM 70° Shore. Dimensions 22 x 3.7 mm.
END PROFILE
U 18 x 18 x 2 mm.
ASSEMBLY
The rubber strips and aluminium bars are riveted together with special rivets. The mat is held together by Ø 2.3 mm stainless steel wire.
REINFORCEMENT
Kabe Original entrance mats are reinforced with rubber bushes.
SURFACE TREATMENT
Kabe Original entrance mats come in natural aluminium as standard but can also be provided in black or gold anodised aluminium.
ENVIRONMENT
The Kabe Original entrance mat is declared in Byggvarubedömningen, Sunda Hus.
EN 16005:2012
Kabe Original entrance mats comply with the requirements in EN 16005:2012.
INSTALLATION
Generally speaking, all types of mat should always be laid on a level, solid surface.
Install on level, solid surface recessed in the floor using kerb angle frame Kabe 20R or, alternatively Kabe 22R, or on-floor in Kabe mat ramp, type 2. Always state measurements A = width and B = length with specifications and when ordering.
CARE
The mat is designed with identical surfaces and should be reversed at least once a year, for maximum service life. To clean Kabe Original entrance mats, do not use chemicals – only water.

TACTILE AIDS
Create guide paths and creative patterns in Kabe Original entrance mats using tactile inserts, which are available in white and fluorescent green. The inserts fasten easily in the mat.
REINFORCEMENT
The reinforced version of the Kabe Original entrance mat is recommended if the mat is to be placed in environments where there is wheeled traffic or sloping floors combined with studs in the substrate. The reinforcement consists of rubber bushes that are threaded on the steel wires.
